A man has been arrested after a man in his 20s was stabbed in broad daylight in Wealdstone, north London. Police were called to The Cross Way at around 10.35am on Monday, August 10, following reports of a stabbing. Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance and found a man in his 20s suffering from stab wounds. He was treated at the scene before being taken by road ambulance to a major trauma centre as a priority. Police said his injuries are not believed to be life-changing.

Man arrested on suspicion of GBH

A 29-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of affray and assault causing grievous bodily harm. He remains under investigation while officers continue enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the attack. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 10.35am on Monday to reports of a stabbing on The Cross Way, Wealdstone. “Officers attended the scene with the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance and located one man, aged in his 20s, with stab wounds. “He has been taken to hospital where his condition was confirmed to be non-life changing. “A 29-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of affray and assault causing grievous bodily harm.”

Air ambulance dispatched

The London Ambulance Service said it was called at 11.16am and sent ambulance crews and an incident response officer. London’s Air Ambulance was also dispatched. A spokesperson said: “We treated a patient at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre as a priority by road.” Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting CAD 2593/10AUG.
