Tractor Crash Near Wrotham Leaves Man Critically Injured
Police are hunting witnesses after a serious collision on an overbridge near Wrotham left a man fighting for life. Kent Police were called at 11.17am on Monday, 18 August, following reports of a crash involving a tractor on the A227 1 Road.
Man Airlifted to Hospital in Critical Condition
Emergency services, including Kent Fire and Rescue and the South East Coast Ambulance Service, rushed to the scene. The tractor driver was airlifted to hospital and remains in critical but stable condition. His next of kin have been informed.
Single-Vehicle Crash Shuts Down M20 and A227
Initial investigations reveal the tractor separated from its trailer before crashing and tumbling onto the central reservation between junctions 2 and 3 of the M20. Both the M20 and A227 are closed for recovery work. Diversions are in place, with drivers urged to find alternative routes.
