Clive Owen Faces Tough Recovery After Major Hip Surgery
Clive Owen, star of Our Yorkshire Farm, is currently on the mend after major hip surgery, his ex-wife and co-star Amanda Owen has revealed. The 69-year-old is resting up with help from Amanda and their nine children as he battles through a tricky recovery.
Family Pulls Together for New Series
The family reunited for the new series Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids, airing from October 14 on More4. The show follows their efforts to restore the neighbouring farmhouse, Anty John’s, transforming it into a permanent home. But the project has not been plain sailing — severe weather has repeatedly stalled vital building work.
Amanda Opens Up on Clive’s Recovery
Appearing on ITV’s Lorraine, Amanda, known as the Yorkshire Shepherdess, revealed Clive’s recovery has been a struggle. “I’ve got children going to school, children studying, and children working,” she said. “And then he comes to me and says he’s bored.” She called Clive a “terrible patient” who’s finding it tough to stay still.
Renovations a Whole New Challenge
On the home front, Amanda admitted, “It was never going to be simple. Ask me anything about sheep or hill farming, no problem. But home renovations? Not a clue.” Despite the setbacks, she’s determined to see the project through, stressing it’s “all about the future” of their family.
Our Farm Next Door gives fans an intimate behind-the-scenes look at how the family is working through tough times, balancing Clive’s recovery and tricky renovations while building a lasting legacy for their kids.
