Hit-and-Run Horror in Farnborough: Pedestrian Forced to Leap Out of Silver Car’s Way
Police are hunting the driver of a silver hatchback who nearly ploughed into a 60-year-old woman in Farnborough. The victim was crossing at traffic lights on Prospect Road and Stake Lane when the reckless motorist sped past a queue of cars, forcing her to jump out of the way.
Pedestrian Left Injured After Near Miss
In trying to avoid a crash, the woman fell onto the road and sustained cuts and bruises to her face. The hit-and-run driver didn’t stop. Police believe the car may have been a silver Volkswagen hatchback.
Appeal for Eyewitnesses
The incident took place around 6.10pm on Thursday, July 14, near the Stake Lane side of the railway bridge.
PC Steve Claridge of the Roads Policing Unit said: “We want to find the driver who fled the scene. The woman suffered bruising and grazing as she tried to avoid being hit. Anyone who saw what happened or knows who was behind the wheel should get in touch.”
