Amanda Owen and ex Clive team up to restore a crumbling 1800s farmhouse near Ravenseat Farm! The Our Yorkshire Farm stars, once a couple and parents to nine, are back together for a brand-new More4 series, Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive & Kids, premiering October 14.
Historic Farmhouse Rescue Mission
The 1800s Grade II listed farmhouse, known as Anty John’s, has sat derelict for 60 years with no roof and missing foundations. Amanda bought the run-down property in 2020 with a dream to restore it as a legacy home for their family. But with old planning permissions and plenty of rubble, the task has been tough.
Amanda Opens Up on Challenges
“I feel blessed to have been able to buy it,” Amanda said. “It was such an amazing opportunity to buy another farm with plenty of land.” But she admitted the renovation has been overwhelming at times: “There were moments you’d stand among the rubble thinking, ‘OMG, where do I even start?'”
Family Gears Up for Big Build
Despite delays, work is progressing, though Amanda wished they’d have a fire blazing in the new home come Christmas. Reuben Owen, one of their older kids, is helping lead the rebuild, sharing behind-the-scenes snaps of tractors and diggers shaping the site.
A Peek Inside the New Series
The show will follow the Owens as they transform the derelict farmhouse into a cosy two-bedroom home, complete with a living room, kitchen, shower room, and utility space. Fans will also get to see Amanda and Clive put past differences aside to join forces once again.
Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive & Kids premieres on More4 on October 14 at 9pm. Don’t miss it!
