Woman Sparks Second Railway Bridge Drama in Winchester
Emergency services raced to Winchester Railway last night after reports raised concerns for a woman’s safety on a railway bridge.
Fire Crews Respond to Second Bridge Incident
Just before 7.30pm on Thursday 4th May 2017, fire crews from Eastleigh and Winchester stations arrived at the scene near Newburgh Street. They managed to safely bring the woman down by 8pm.
Woman Taken to Hospital
The distressed woman was rushed to hospital following the incident. Authorities have not released further details about her condition.
History of Previous Incident
This is the second time this woman has caused alarm on a Winchester railway bridge. Back in March, police negotiators spent hours persuading her down from a nearby bridge close to the station.
