Tragedy in Nuneaton: Woman Dies After Crashing Into Tree
Warwickshire Police have confirmed a fatal crash in Nuneaton in the early hours today. A woman, believed to be in her 20s, lost her life after a collision with a tree on Coventry Road near the Dorlecote Place bus stop at around 2:05am.
Paramedics rushed to the scene but sadly, the woman was pronounced dead there. Her next of kin have been informed.
Suspect Arrested at Scene
A second woman was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. She has been taken to hospital with injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening.
Police Launch Appeal for Witnesses
Inspector Michael Huntley from Warwickshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said:
“This was a tragic incident, and we have launched a thorough investigation to establish the cause. The victim’s family is being supported by specially trained officers.”
He urged anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam or doorbell footage from the area at the time to come forward. Witnesses can contact Warwickshire Police via their website or call 101, quoting incident number 28 of 14 September 2025.
