Teen Dies in Shocking Hit-and-Run in Stoke-on-Trent
A 17-year-old boy has tragically died after being hit by a car in a hit-and-run on Dawlish Drive, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire Police confirmed.
Fatal Crash on Dawlish Drive
The smash happened at around 6pm on Friday, 17 October in Bentilee. The teenager was struck by a vehicle, which then sped off without stopping.
Emergency crews from West Midlands Ambulance Service raced to the scene. Roads including Dawlish Drive, Wellfield Road, and Bargrave Street were closed while paramedics worked.
Teen Dies Despite Emergency Care
The boy suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to hospital. Sadly, he died in the early hours of Saturday, 18 October despite intensive treatment.
Specialist officers are supporting the devastated family through this tragic loss.
Police Arrest Two Teens Over Deadly Crash
Staffordshire Police acted fast, arresting two local teens aged 17 and 16 on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Both remain in custody.
