Serious Crash on A9 Near Golspie – Drivers Urged to Speak Up
Dingwall Road Policing Officers are calling for witnesses after a nasty smash on the A9 near Dunrobin, Golspie, on Saturday, 30 September.
Motorbike Rider Airlifted, Peugeot Driver Arrested
The crash, involving a Peugeot 2008 and a Kawasaki motorbike, happened at around 10am. The 49-year-old biker was seriously hurt and airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. The 58-year-old Peugeot driver walked away unscathed but was arrested on suspicion of a road traffic offence.
A9 Shut for Hours as Police Probe Crash
The A9 shut down temporarily for investigation and only reopened at about 5pm. Sergeant Calum MacAulay stressed the probe is ongoing and urged anyone with info—or dashcam footage—to come forward.
“We want to piece together exactly what happened,” he said. “Any witnesses or those with footage are vital for our investigation.”
