Knife Threat Shakes Polegate Shop – Cops Hunt Teen Robbers
Sussex Police are on the hunt after a violent robbery at Millfields Store on Station Road, Polegate. Two teenage lads threatened staff with a knife and made off with cash shortly after 7:30pm on Monday, November 18.
Man Armed With Knife Robs Shop Staff
The pair stormed the shop, attacked a staff member, then one pulled a knife to intimidate before snatching some cash. They escaped on foot via School Lane.
Suspects are believed to be around 16 or 17 years old. Here’s what they looked like:
- First Suspect: Roughly 5’7″ to 5’8″ tall, donning a shiny black puffer coat, face covered, black trousers, and black trainers.
- Second Suspect: Slightly shorter at 5’5″ to 5’6″, wearing a black coat and adidas-style black tracksuit bottoms with white stripes.
Police Release CCTV Images, Demand Public’s Help
Officers have put CCTV snapshots of the suspects in the spotlight, urgently appealing for anyone who recognises the teens to come forward. They’re also after dashcam, doorbell, or any CCTV footage caught near the scene around the time of the robbery.
Community Rally Needed to Nail Robbers
Investigators are backing the victim and urging locals to aid the probe. Sussex Police stressed the importance of public support in cleaning up crime in Polegate.
