M25 Chaos: Officer Hurt and Three Arrested After Roadblock Mayhem
An officer was injured and three people arrested after a series of disruptions on the M25 sparked chaos between Junctions 26 and 30 this morning.
Rolling Roadblock Triggers Lorry Crash and Officer Injury
Police implemented a rolling roadblock between Junctions 26 and 27 to deal with a person on the motorway. Amid the hold-up, two lorries collided with a police motorbike. The motorbike rider was hurt and treated by ambulance crews.
Two suspects were arrested on suspicion of causing a public nuisance linked to this incident.
Further Trouble on Gantries at Junctions 29 and 30
Officers then responded to reports of people climbing gantries near Junctions 29 and 30. A man was brought down from a gantry at Junction 30 and taken into custody, marking a third arrest.
Police continue working closely with National Highways to clear the scene and reopen the motorway safely.

“Officers have again responded quickly to minimise disruption and two people have already been arrested. One of our officers has been injured as they worked to help resolve this situation,” said Chief Superintendent Simon Anslow.
“Our roads policing officers are dedicated, specialist officers who come to work to serve the public and keep you safe on our roads. Sadly, this morning one of these fantastic officers has been injured while carrying out this work. My thoughts are with them and their family.”
