Four Bowled Over in Southsea Stabbing Drama!
Police have swooped on four suspects after a man was stabbed in Sedgley Close, Southsea. The arrested are a 34-year-old woman, two 18-year-old men, and a 17-year-old boy, all locals. They remain in custody as the investigation heats up.
Man Stabbed After Halloween Party Madness
The chaos unfolded around 8.30pm on Thursday, October 27, when a 28-year-old Portsmouth man was attacked. He was rushed to hospital but has thankfully now been discharged.
Eyewitnesses told of a child in a clown mask returning from a community centre Halloween bash just before the fracas. An Edgbaston House resident said she heard a woman screaming the child’s name after the man allegedly lashed out at the youngster.
Police Urge Caution Amid Wild Rumours
Senior Investigating Officer Detective Inspector Linda Howard said: “It has been reported in the media that this incident was sparked by an earlier altercation involving a child wearing a clown mask. This is one of the lines of enquiry being followed. But at this time we would ask people not to speculate further and instead contact the investigation team if you have any information about what happened.”
