Manhunt Underway in Bradford After Explosive Blast Injures Three
Police have launched a frantic manhunt in Bradford following a house explosion that left three people hospitalised. The blast caused major damage to an empty property and nearby homes, sparking urgent emergency response.
The Explosion and Injuries
The dramatic incident took place at around 10:10 PM on Saturday, 13 September on Southfield Lane. Emergency services rushed to the scene after reports of a powerful explosion at an unoccupied house.
- The blast seriously damaged the empty property and two neighbouring homes.
- A man, woman, and boy from a nearby house were treated for minor injuries.
- A 27-year-old man was found near the scene with serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was arrested on suspicion of metal theft.
Specialist teams from West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service and Yorkshire Ambulance Service worked swiftly to contain the situation and provide medical aid.
Police Hunt for Jacob Ryan
Authorities are on the lookout for Jacob Ryan, 28, wanted on suspicion of theft linked to the explosion. Superintendent Lucy Leadbeater of Bradford District Police said:
“While the cause of the explosion remains under investigation, we are probing reports of metal theft just before the incident. One man arrested was seriously injured, and we are trying to locate Jacob Ryan who may also be hurt. We urge him or anyone who knows his whereabouts to come forward so he can receive any medical treatment needed.”
