TV hosts Jonathan Ross and Alan Carr stunned fans on The Celebrity Traitors by revealing they are distantly related. Both stars, alongside singer Cat Burns, were handpicked by host Claudia Winkleman to wear the infamous green cloaks and “murder” fellow contestants in the castle’s turret.

Jonathan and Alan, longtime pals, revealed their family secret during a 2022 episode of Alan’s Life’s A Beach podcast. Alan recalled:
“I was so excited because we come from the same area, we are distantly related. I remember going over to you saying, ‘Jonathan, Jonathan, your mum says we’re related,’ and you went, ‘for f*** sake.’”
Jonathan joked, “I tried to stop her talking to people because she’d always find some famous connection.”
Cheeky Banter and Family Secrets Revealed
The pair continued the fun chat as Jonathan referenced Alan’s episode of Who Do You Think You Are?:
“I saw your episode and you’ve got a deserter in your family. I don’t know if I want to be tarnished by that. We are related – I forgot that.”
Jonathan quipped, “Well, neither of us have got looks, let’s be honest. But you scrub up very well.” Alan fired back, “Yes, I’ve seen you looking very handsome.”
