A9 Crash Chaos Cleared at Dawn
The A9 finally reopened in the early hours of Saturday after a nasty three-vehicle smash near Aviemore. The crash involved a car, a lorry, and a bus, blocking the crucial route between the Granish junction and Tomatin.
Emergency Rush to Scene
Emergency services rushed to the scene at around 6.40pm on Friday, 26 July 2024. Firefighters, paramedics, and police worked swiftly to deal with the aftermath of the collision.
Serious Injuries Amid Passengers
- The female passenger in the car was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.
- A male passenger was taken to Raigmore Hospital in a stable condition.
- The male driver and a child passenger were also treated at Raigmore for checks.
Police Seek Witnesses
