Teen Victim Injured in Broad Daylight
Sussex Police are hunting for witnesses after a 17-year-old boy was attacked on Eastbourne Promenade. The assault happened between 4:05 pm and 4:20 pm on November 10, near the pier and bandstand. A gang of seven boys and young men were involved, leaving the teen with a hand injury consistent with a stabbing.
The teenager was with two friends during the attack. He later received treatment at Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead and has since been discharged.
Six Suspects Arrested and Bailed
Police have arrested six suspects aged 14 to 20 over the attack, including one held on suspicion of wounding with intent. All suspects are now out on bail but face strict conditions as investigations continue.
The assault shocked the local community since it took place in a busy, popular part of the lower Promenade during daylight hours. Officers are now desperate to hear from anyone who witnessed the violence.
