Hunt on for Brutal Stabbing Suspect After Teen’s Murder in Islington
Detectives have slammed out fresh images of a prime suspect in the savage stabbing death of 15-year-old Adam Henry in Islington last week. They’re desperate to track down 22-year-old Abdel Derdour, who vanished after the deadly attack.
Adam was stabbed fatally on Westbourne Road just after 1pm on Tuesday, 9 December. Despite valiant efforts by London Ambulance Service and Air Ambulance crews, Adam tragically died later in hospital. His heartbroken family is being supported by specialist officers.
Who Is Abdel Derdour?
- Age: 22
- Height: About 5ft 8ins
- Build: Slim
- Ethnicity: Mixed heritage
- Distinguishing features: Sporting a moustache and facial hair
- Aliases: Known to use multiple names
Derdour fled towards Caledonian Road after the stabbing and is believed to frequent Holborn and surrounding areas.
Police Urge Public to Come Forward
Chief Superintendent Jason Stewart, head of Islington policing, said:
“Adam’s family have suffered an unthinkable loss, and we believe someone out there knows something that could help us bring those responsible to justice. If you have seen Abdel Derdour since Adam’s murder, please step forward. Even tiny details could be the vital breakthrough.”
