Thames Valley Police Hunt Man Over Brutal New Year’s Day Brawl in Oxford
Nightmare Attack Outside Café Baba
Thames Valley Police are chasing 22-year-old Geraldo Noka after a vicious assault outside Oxford’s popular Café Baba in the early hours of New Year’s Day 2026. At about 4:30am on January 1st, Noka and a group of men targeted two victims in their twenties near Café Baba and Bodrum on Cowley Road.
One victim was left with shocking injuries – a shattered jaw, torn flesh, and broken teeth – after being punched repeatedly, dragged to the ground, and kicked while helpless.
Who Is Geraldo Noka?
- 6ft tall, medium build
- Regular in Cowley Road and Iffley Road areas
- Wanted prime suspect in the savage attack
Police have arrested four others linked to the assault. Two are now charged, while two remain on bail. But Noka remains on the run.
“If you see Noka, do not approach him and call 999 immediately,” warned Detective Constable Isabel Searle of St Aldate’s police station. “We will never tolerate violence in our patch and are committed to serving the victims and bringing offenders to justice.”
