Man Jailed Over CS Spray Attack in Aberdeen A&E

A 37-year-old man has been locked up for nearly four years after unleashing CS spray on NHS staff inside Aberdeen Royal Infirmary’s emergency department.

Rage Erupts Over Long Wait

Piotr Huczynski lost it on October 10, 2025, after a lengthy wait in the A&E waiting room. His fury boiled over, and he sprayed a security guard and a nurse with the noxious irritant, causing panic and injuries.

A&E Locked Down as Chaos Hits

The shocking attack forced emergency services to rush to the scene. Two people were hurt, and the entire A&E was sealed off for around three hours to deal with the turmoil.

Multiple Charges and Heavy Sentence

  • Huczynski pled guilty to ten charges, including assault, threatening behaviour, firearms offences, and reckless discharge of CS spray.
  • He admitted his guilt in January 2026.
  • Aberdeen Sheriff Court handed down a 3 years and 8 months prison sentence.

This terrifying incident starkly exposes the rising dangers faced by NHS frontline workers battling pressure and violence on a daily basis.
