Sussex Police Wrap Up Probe into Michael McDonagh’s Death at Camber Sands

Sussex Police have closed their investigation into the death of Michael McDonagh at a holiday park on Lydd Road, Camber Sands. The tragic incident on August 6, 2022, sparked a detailed and thorough inquiry by the authorities.

No Charges After Seven Arrests in Murder Inquiry

Detective Chief Inspector Emma Vickers revealed that seven people were arrested on suspicion of murder during the probe. However, all have now been released with no further action planned. The Crown Prosecution Service reviewed the evidence and decided not to proceed with any charges.

Family in Police Thoughts as Case Moves to Inquest

Throughout the investigation, Sussex Police have kept Michael McDonagh’s bereaved family in their thoughts. “I would once again like to express my sincere condolences to Michael’s family,” said DCI Vickers.

The gathered evidence is now being prepared for HM Coroner ahead of the upcoming inquest into McDonagh’s death.
