Emergency crews slammed the brakes on Portsmouth Road in Cosham after a serious incident sparked a fast response. The area from Portsmouth Road to Hawthorn Crescent near Highbury College was quickly cordoned off by police, who remain on site managing the tense situation.
Air Ambulance Scrambles to the Scene
Just after 2.30pm on Thursday, 12 March, an air ambulance carrying a doctor and two advanced paramedics was dispatched to the scene. After urgent treatment at the spot, the patient was rushed to hospital by road ambulance, with the air ambulance team accompanying them to continue care.
“Following treatment on scene, a patient was taken to hospital by road ambulance with the air ambulance crew travelling with the patient to continue their care,” confirmed a spokesperson.
