Man Stabbed to Death in Southampton Named by Police

Police have confirmed the identity of the man found stabbed to death in Thornhill early Saturday morning. Twenty-one-year-old Shkelzen ‘Genny’ Dauti, originally from Albania and living in Southampton, was discovered on Gilpin Close before later dying at Southampton General Hospital.

Suspicious Death Sparks Investigation

Detectives launched a probe after Shkelzen’s body was found in the early hours of 12th March 2017. The exact circumstances around his death remain unclear. Detective Chief Inspector Ellie Hurd said: “We are still trying to establish the circumstances of what has happened to Genny.”

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Officers want anyone who saw Shkelzen from Friday night into Saturday morning to come forward. “We want to hear from anyone who can help us build a better understanding about Genny’s life in Southampton,” DCI Hurd added.

Shkelzen was known locally by several nicknames, including ‘Genny’. With many questions still unanswered, police urge the community to help bring clarity to the tragic death of this young man.
