Bomb Plot Foiled at Lady Gaga’s Copacabana Concert
Brazilian police have smashed a chilling bomb plot targeting Lady Gaga’s landmark Copacabana Beach concert, set to draw over two million fans — her biggest ever.
Extremists Pretended to Be Gaga Fans
Authorities revealed the plot was masterminded by a radical group pushing hate and teen radicalisation. Shockingly, these extremists disguised themselves online as “Little Monsters,” the name for Gaga’s devoted fanbase, to lure in youngsters.
Federal cops, watching encrypted chats for weeks, uncovered plans to plant homemade explosive devices among the crowd. The potential for mass casualties was huge.
“This was a serious threat to public safety,” said Chief Inspector Mariana Duarte. “The suspects manipulated teenagers into believing they were on a special ‘mission’ for Lady Gaga, exploiting their devotion.”
Six Arrested in Multi-State Crackdown
Six suspects were arrested across Brazil. Police seized bombs, hate propaganda, and communications gear linked to the plot. Investigations are ongoing into possible international connections.
Lady Gaga’s team praised Brazil’s swift action and confirmed the show will go ahead with extra security in place.
“This was an attack not only on Gaga and her fans but on the ideals of freedom, love, and unity she stands for,” added Duarte.
Police Appeal for Public Help
Officials are urging anyone with info on the suspects or their activities to come forward and aid the investigation.
