A fierce fire tore through a three-storey nursery in Rushey Green just after 6.30pm on January 31, sending thick black smoke billowing into the evening sky.

Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters from Bromley, East Greenwich, and Peckham rushed to the scene. They battled the blaze relentlessly, bringing the fire under control by 9.25pm.
