Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run on Dunhill Road
Shortly after 7pm, police rushed to Dunhill Road after a passing driver raised the alarm. A female pedestrian was found dead, believed to have been hit by a car that fled the scene.
Road Closed While Police Investigate
The road was shut temporarily as officers scoured the area for clues. It has since reopened, but inquiries continue as police try to track down the mystery vehicle involved in the fatal crash.
Detective Pleads for Witnesses to Come Forward
Detective Inspector Peter MacCionáoith said: “We would ask anyone who was travelling on the Dunhill Road on Tuesday evening at around 7pm to review any dash-cam footage they may have captured and call us in CID Coleraine on 101 with any information they have. The reference number is 1653 06/12/22.”
