Sussex Teen Stabbed on Eastbourne Promenade – Six Arrests Made

Teen Victim Injured in Broad Daylight

Sussex Police are hunting for witnesses after a 17-year-old boy was attacked on Eastbourne Promenade. The assault happened between 4:05 pm and 4:20 pm on November 10, near the pier and bandstand. A gang of seven boys and young men were involved, leaving the teen with a hand injury consistent with a stabbing.

The teenager was with two friends during the attack. He later received treatment at Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead and has since been discharged.

Six Suspects Arrested and Bailed

Police have arrested six suspects aged 14 to 20 over the attack, including one held on suspicion of wounding with intent. All suspects are now out on bail but face strict conditions as investigations continue.

The assault shocked the local community since it took place in a busy, popular part of the lower Promenade during daylight hours. Officers are now desperate to hear from anyone who witnessed the violence.

Police Ramp Up Patrols and Appeal for Information

Following the attack, Sussex Police have boosted patrols along the Eastbourne Promenade to reassure the public and gather vital intelligence.

“This happened in a well-trafficked area during the day. We urge anyone who saw anything or knows more to come forward,” said a police spokesperson.

The busy promenade is a hotspot for both locals and tourists, making witness accounts crucial to cracking the case.
