Ricky Hatton Dead at 46: Boxing Legend Found at Home

Ricky Hatton looked fit and strong in his final Instagram post just days before his shocking death at 46. The British boxing hero was found dead at his Manchester home early Sunday morning.

Police Rule Out Suspicious Circumstances

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson revealed, “Officers were called by a member of the public to Bowlacre Road, Hyde, Tameside at 6:45am today where they found the body of a 46-year-old man. There are not currently believed to be any suspicious circumstances.”

‘The Hitman’s’ Glorious Boxing Career

Known as ‘The Hitman’, Hatton was one of Britain’s most celebrated fighters. He won world titles at both light-welterweight and welterweight, finishing his professional career in 2012 with an impressive record of 45 wins from 48 bouts.

Only days before his death, Hatton posted a video training for a planned comeback fight this December in Dubai against Eisa Al Dah. In the clip, he celebrated completing another 5k treadmill run, showing he was gearing up for a huge return.

Sports World Mourns a True Champion

Tributes quickly flooded in after the news broke. Fellow boxing star Amir Khan said, “Today we lost not only one of Britain’s greatest boxers, but a friend, a mentor, a warrior, Ricky Hatton.”

“Mental health isn’t weakness. It’s part of being human. And we must talk about it.” – Amir Khan

Hatton’s legacy as a champion and beloved figure in British sport will live on.
