Serious Head-On Smash Shuts Shawford Road Near Winchester
A major road in the village of Shawford, near Winchester, remains closed tonight after a frightening head-on crash between a silver Citroen C3 and a blue Renault Clio.
Collision on Otterbourne Road
The smash happened on Otterbourne Road as the Citroen was driving towards Winchester and the Renault was heading the opposite way towards Otterbourne. Eyewitnesses say the Citroen swerved to avoid a car reversing out of a driveway before the horror crash.
Two Rushed to Hospital with Life-Threatening Injuries
A 52-year-old woman and a 5-year-old boy, both passengers in the cars, have been rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries. They are currently undergoing surgery, with their conditions described as critical.
