Police have launched an urgent search for Aleks Abutayun, a 29-year-old man who disappeared after leaving Whipps Cross Hospital in Leytonstone at approximately 5pm on Monday, 19 May 2025.
Who Is Aleks Abutayun? Aleks is described as a white male, about 5ft 8in tall, with a medium build, short dark hair, and a beard. He was last seen wearing a grey cardigan, green trainers, and brown chino trousers.
The Metropolitan Police have issued a welfare warning, expressing growing concern for Aleks’ safety. Officers have urged the public not to approach him under any circumstances. Instead, anyone who spots Aleks is asked to call 999 immediately.
Where to Look? Aleks is known to have connections to Hollow Ponds, Epping Forest, and the wider Waltham Forest area. Residents in these locations and surrounding areas are encouraged to remain vigilant and report any information.
