Kent Police have successfully recovered two of the three horses stolen from stables in Hartley, close to New Ash Green. The theft occurred between November 21 and 22, 2024, when thieves damaged fencing and led the horses through a field onto Ash Road.
Following a public appeal and extensive investigations, officers located two white horses on December 2 at a site off Shamrock Road in Gravesend. Both animals have been safely returned to their relieved owner.
However, the search is ongoing for the third horse, described as a four-year-old brown mare with white feet and a white stripe down her nose. Police are concerned for the mare’s safety and are urging the public to remain vigilant.
