Two people were injured in a multi-vehicle pile-up on the A2 near Gravesend on Wednesday evening, November 6. The crash occurred just after 5pm on the eastbound side, between the B262 and A227.
Emergency crews from South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) quickly responded to the scene. Both victims were treated at the location, but one required additional medical attention and was transported to Medway Maritime Hospital. Their current condition has not been disclosed.
“Crews assessed and treated two patients at the scene. One patient was then conveyed to Medway Maritime Hospital for further medical treatment,” confirmed a SECAmb spokesperson.
The collision caused significant traffic disruption, with vehicles backed up for nearly six miles and delays lasting approximately 45 minutes. The A2 was eventually cleared and reopened later that evening, restoring normal traffic flow.
Kent Police have been contacted to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. Drivers are advised to remain vigilant and exercise caution when travelling in the area.
