Kent Police are currently investigating a fatal crash that occurred near Iwade on Old Ferry Road. The collision resulted in two deaths and one injury.
The incident took place at around 8.30pm on Saturday 3 January 2026, when a blue Ford Fiesta veered off the carriageway of Old Ferry Road. Emergency services, including Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service, and Kent Fire and Rescue, responded promptly to the scene.
Tragically, two occupants of the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene. A third passenger was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries.
To facilitate rescue efforts and the ongoing investigation, officers closed the section of Old Ferry Road between Raspberry Hill Lane and Sheppey Way. The road remains closed as detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit continue their inquiries.
Kent Police are appealing for anyone who was near Old Ferry Road at the time of the crash or who may have dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward. Such information could be vital to the investigation.
