Trump Unveils Secret Military Bunker Beneath His Gigantic New White House Ballroom
£400 Million Underground Fortress Rises Amid Controversy
Donald Trump has revealed a massive nuclear-hardened bunker is being built right under his proposed White House ballroom. Speaking from Air Force One, the President called the secret military complex “essential” to tackle modern security threats.
The £400 million private project, funded by Trump and his supporters, involves demolishing the East Wing to build a colossal 90,000-square-foot reception space—the biggest White House alteration since Truman installed his famous balcony in 1948.
The Ballroom: “Just a Shed” with Bulletproof Glass and Drone-Proof Roof
Trump describes the ballroom as “just a shed” that cleverly hides the underground fortress below. He boasted the structure will match the White House’s height but will be much larger in footprint.
“The glass on the windows is extremely thick – high-grade bulletproof,” Trump said, adding the roof is designed to be drone-proof. News of the bunker only emerged due to what Trump called “a stupid lawsuit.”
Despite no formal planning approval and public outcry, demolition of the East Wing kicked off last October. Secret Service documents warn halting construction would be a “national security concern”.
Bigger and Badder Ballroom to Host Global Power Players
Trump argued the existing 200-capacity ballroom is far too small to host world leaders like China’s President Xi Jinping. “We have very small rooms that aren’t big enough for the kind of capacity you need,” he said.
“This ballroom will be the finest of its kind anywhere in the world,” he claimed. Speaking from Air Force One, Trump admitted he’s “so busy” but insisted this project is vital and “will be with us for a long time.”
Stark images show heavy machinery tearing down the East Wing facade and scattering rubble across the White House grounds—without approved permits, sparking fresh controversy around Trump’s underground fortress dreams.
