Tragedy has struck in Swindon as Louis Lobbon, aged 29, who went missing on Monday afternoon, 20 October, was found dead in woodland near Dorcan Way.

Wiltshire Police launched a full-scale search operation immediately after Louis was reported missing. The search included the deployment of helicopters and multiple search teams. Wiltshire Search and Rescue joined the efforts on Wednesday in a desperate attempt to locate him.

Despite the intense search efforts, hope faded when Louis’ body was discovered late Tuesday evening in woodland off Dorcan Way, close to Snodshill Roundabout.

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson confirmed the discovery, stating, “A search was launched after Louis was reported missing – having last been seen on Monday. Sadly, a body was located in woods off Dorcan Way, Swindon last night. While formal identification has not yet taken place, Louis’ family have been informed.”

The spokesperson added, “There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding this death. The family have asked for privacy at this very difficult time and will reach out when ready. Our thoughts are with them.”

Friends, neighbours, and local residents are being asked to respect the family’s privacy during this tragic time.
