The A259 in East Sussex is completely closed in both directions between the A27 at Pevensey and the B2182 at Little Common following a serious single-vehicle collision near Bexhill.
Sussex Police are currently at the scene managing the incident. Traffic is being diverted through local roads to ease congestion caused by the closure.
A South East Coast Ambulance Service spokesman confirmed that ambulance crews, along with the air ambulance, are attending the scene after reports of a road traffic collision involving a motor scooter on the A259 Barnhorn Road at around 10:10am today.
Both the Kent and Sussex Air Ambulance teams have been dispatched to provide urgent medical assistance to those involved in the crash.
