Emergency services are responding to a serious crash that has brought roads in Leatherhead, Surrey, to a standstill. The collision occurred at the busy junction of Leech Lane and Lodgebottom Road, resulting in road closures and significant disruption for drivers in the area.

Surrey Roads Policing officers are managing the crash site to ensure safety and control traffic flow. A Leatherhead fire crew was dispatched following a call for backup from paramedics with the South East Coast Ambulance Service.

A spokeswoman for Surrey Fire and Rescue said: “Firefighters were called at 11:23am on Saturday and left just after 12:43pm. We were requested mainly for manpower support. It’s unclear if cutting equipment was needed.”

Both Leech Lane and Lodgebottom Road have been closed at the junction, and drivers are urged to avoid the area and seek alternative routes to avoid long delays.

The South East Coast Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment but has yet to release a statement regarding the incident. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
