Urgent Search Underway for Missing West Sussex Woman
Becky Disappears Without a Trace
Police and volunteers are frantically searching for 38-year-old Rebecca “Becky” Holdham, who vanished from her home in Hassocks, West Sussex. She was last spotted on the morning of Sunday, 7 September, leaving a property near the Park Estate in Ockley at around 10am. Since then, there has been no sign or word from her, sparking serious concern for her safety.
Local Community Joins the Hunt
Friends and neighbours have mobilised, scouring the surrounding countryside and woods near the village over the past two nights. Emotional friends say they are “worried sick” and vow to keep searching until she is found.

The search has ramped up with police using drones, sniffer dogs, and a helicopter to cover tough terrain. Detective Inspector Chris May of the West Sussex Missing Persons Team said:
“We are growing increasingly concerned for Rebecca’s welfare, and are urging anyone who has seen or heard from her since Sunday morning to get in touch.”
He added that officers are conducting house-to-house checks and reviewing local CCTV and doorbell footage. Residents should expect more police activity in the area in the coming days.
