A 27-year-old man from Hull has been jailed for attempting to rape a woman in her own home. Qudus Ajeyemi, of May Street, was found guilty at Hull Crown Court on 26 May 2026 after a week-long trial.
The incident occurred in a private residence where the victim should have felt safe. Following the conviction, Ajeyemi received a prison sentence, a restraining order, and lifelong registration as a sex offender.
On 15 June 2026, Ajeyemi was sentenced to five years and six months in custody. After completing his sentence, he is to be deported.
Ajeyemi will remain on the Sex Offenders Register for life, ensuring ongoing monitoring due to the severity of his crime.
The court also issued a seven-year restraining order to protect the victim from any contact or harassment by Ajeyemi following his release.
