Officers are currently managing a motorway incident this morning, 7 November, after a protester climbed onto a gantry on the M25 northbound between junctions 6 and 7 in Surrey.

Despite the protest, traffic continues to move, but drivers are experiencing substantial delays of approximately 50 minutes through this section of the motorway.

For safety reasons, National Highways have closed the M25 northbound between junctions 6 and 7. They have advised motorists to avoid the area if possible to reduce congestion and ensure safety.

A specialist protester removal team is present at the scene and preparing to climb the gantry to safely resolve the situation and restore normal traffic flow.
