A fierce fire tore through half the ground floor of a five-story hotel near Paddington railway station in central London on Thursday afternoon.
The London Fire Brigade (LFB) was called to Craven Road at 4.41pm and managed to bring the blaze under control by 6.39pm. Ten fire engines, including a fire rescue unit and a 32-metre turntable ladder, were rushed to the scene.
Nearby properties were evacuated as the fire raged. A spokesperson confirmed no injuries have been reported so far. The cause of the fire remains a mystery and is under investigation.
Road closures are currently in place, with the LFB urging the public to avoid the area. The Metropolitan Police arrived shortly after the fire crews to help manage roadblocks and ensure public safety.
