Peter Henderson, a 65-year-old grandfather, has been missing from Sittingbourne for over two weeks. He was last seen at 12:17 a.m. on November 19, 2024, near Pear Tree Walk in Newington. Since that time, there have been no confirmed sightings or clues to his whereabouts.
Peter is described as approximately 5ft 10in tall, white, with light grey hair slicked over, a short grey beard, and wearing glasses. On the night he disappeared, he was wearing a green raincoat, brown trousers, shoes, and carrying a grey backpack. He was also in possession of an orienteering map.
Police have launched a comprehensive search operation. Officers have reviewed CCTV footage, spoken with local residents, and canvassed nearby homes but have yet to find any trace of Peter. Swale Chief Inspector Vanessa Foster stated, “Peter has been missing for more than two weeks now, and we remain determined to get him safely home. We know from CCTV he walked northwest towards Orchard Drive.”
She further urged the community to assist, saying, “We urge residents with garages and outbuildings to be vigilant. Anyone with CCTV or doorbell footage that could help should come forward immediately.”
Anyone with information about Peter Henderson’s location is asked to contact Kent Police on 999, quoting reference 21-0434. The community is encouraged to stay alert as the search continues to bring Peter safely back to his family.
