Emergency crews rushed to Portchester on Saturday after a man became trapped waist-deep in mud near Port Solent harbour.
Just before 2pm, coastguard search and rescue teams from Hillhead and Portsmouth were dispatched to the scene. Two skilled mud rescue technicians quickly worked to free the man from the muddy trap.
Following the rescue, the casualty received immediate medical attention from the mud rescue team before being transferred to the South Central Ambulance Service for further care.
During the operation, the Portsmouth RNLI Atlantic 85 lifeboat provided essential safety support to the rescue teams.
