A man in his 20s was stabbed in the back during a violent altercation on Oxford Road, Kilburn, yesterday afternoon. The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that the attacker remains at large.
The victim was assaulted around 4.30pm on Sunday, April 19, on Oxford Road, a mainly residential street just off Kilburn High Road. Emergency crews, including London’s Air Ambulance, rushed to the scene following the brutal stabbing.
Paramedics treated the man at the scene before he was taken to a major trauma centre. Fortunately, police have stated that his injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.
No arrests have been made so far as investigations continue. The Metropolitan Police have launched a manhunt and urged witnesses to come forward urgently to help identify the suspect.
A police cordon remains in place on Oxford Road. Several blocks of flats and terraced houses have been sealed off as officers comb the area for clues.
“We were called at 4.32pm on 19 April to reports of a stabbing on Oxford Road, NW6,” a London Ambulance Service spokesperson said.
The public is urged to contact the police if they witnessed anything or have any information about the stabbing.
