Merseyside Police have confirmed that the death of a man found in a Wallasey lake is not being treated as suspicious.
Police were called just after 6.30am on Monday, 20 May, following reports of a man’s body in the lake at Central Park, Liscard Road, Wallasey. Emergency crews arrived at the scene and pronounced the man dead.
The man has been identified, and officers are currently working to notify his next of kin. A Home Office post mortem examination has been conducted, but the exact cause of death remains undisclosed pending toxicology results.
At this time, the death is not being treated as suspicious. The case will now be passed to the coroner for further action.
