A man has been charged following an alleged exposure incident in a Portsmouth park.

Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary said officers were called to Cosham Park at around 2.15pm on Wednesday, 8 July, following reports that a man had exposed himself and committed an indecent act.

Officers attended the scene and arrested a suspect.

Following enquiries, Nikolay Ivanov, 41, of St Matthews Road, Portsmouth, has been charged with exposure.

Ivanov was remanded in custody and was due to appear before Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 9 July.

The charge relates to allegations that he exposed himself in the park during the afternoon.

As criminal proceedings are now active, Nikolay Ivanov has been charged but has not been convicted. He is entitled to a fair trial, and it would be inappropriate to comment further on the evidence while the case is before the courts.
