Chaos on A36: HGV Overturns, Major Lanes Shut
Two lanes of the northbound A36, just off Junction 2 of the M27, are shut after a huge lorry flipped over in the early hours. Lane 2 on the southbound side is also closed, causing delays and snarled traffic.
Accident Blocks Key Routes
The overturned HGV crashed through safety barriers, leaving them badly damaged and in need of urgent replacement. Emergency crews are on site, tackling a tricky recovery and cleanup operation.
Drivers are warned they can’t access the A36 link road from the M27 while the work is ongoing. Only one southbound lane remains open – making for a slow and frustrating journey around Ower.
