Thugs hurled objects from a bridge over the A20, just before junction 3 on the M25 near Swanley, in a reckless attack that endangered motorists. The incident occurred between 6.05pm and 6.15pm on Friday, April 2, 2021.
During the attack, a woman driver was struck when her windscreen was smashed by the thrown items, causing shards of glass to spray over her. Fortunately, she was not seriously injured.
PC Reece Watkins from the Sevenoaks Local Policing Team commented on the incident: “Throwing items from heights towards oncoming vehicles is extremely dangerous and it is only sheer luck that the victim was not seriously hurt.”
He added, “We are appealing for anyone with information or dashcam footage to come forward to aid our investigation.”
