Chaos unfolded on the M20 smart motorway this morning as all coastbound lanes were shut following a collision. The incident involved a stalled vehicle that was hit between the M26 and A228 junction near Ryarsh.
Emergency services quickly responded to the crash site. Kent Police officers, Kent Fire & Rescue firefighters, and paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance were all present, working to clear the wreckage and attend to any casualties.
Motorists are facing massive delays as traffic has come to a standstill around the crash area. Drivers are strongly urged to avoid the location if possible to help ease congestion.
