Quiver Delivery, the London-based zero-emission courier company, is closing its doors after entering liquidation. The firm, which launched in 2021, promised same-day or next-day deliveries to 86% of London homes using only human or electric-powered vehicles such as bikes, e-cargo bikes, e-mopeds, and e-vans.
Quiver’s website promoted the company as setting the gold standard for e-commerce delivery, highlighting its faster, emission-free, and fully trackable service. The company stated, “Courier services generally scrape the lower bound of what’s acceptable. Quiver’s couriers are proud to be an extension of the brands we deliver for.”
Despite its green credentials and technology-driven approach, Quiver was unable to sustain its business momentum. This week, liquidators Ian Michael Rose and Paul Mallatratt from Abbey Taylor Jones Limited were appointed following a High Court petition to wind up the company last October, indicating that Quiver could not pay its debts.
The collapse of Quiver Delivery adds to a growing list of UK business failures in 2026. Major retailers such as River Island, Primark, and Poundland have closed stores, while pubs including Revolution and BrewDog have shut dozens of venues. Several retailers have entered administration, and the innovative EcoJet Airlines, which claimed to be the world’s first electric airline, went bust after just three years.
In other industry news, delivery giant Yodel is being phased out following its acquisition by InPost, and Morrisons is exploring selling some in-store pharmacies amid cost-cutting measures. However, there are bright spots with new store openings from Aldi, M&S, and Superdrug.
