Kent Police are appealing for witnesses after an assault took place at a pub in Sittingbourne on Saturday 27 June 2026. The incident happened at approximately 10.20pm on West Street.

A man in his 20s was punched in the face inside the pub and sustained facial injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment and was later discharged.

Emergency services responded quickly to reports from members of the public about the assault.

A 23-year-old man was arrested shortly after the incident in connection with the assault. However, he has since been released without charge while enquiries continue.

Investigators have released a CCTV image of a man they believe may have important information related to the case. Kent Police are urging anyone who recognises the individual to come forward.
